Furness College is the largest provider of education and skills training in Cumbria. It is on two campuses with a further education college at Channelside and a specialist sixth form campus at Rating Lane. 

The college offers a wide choice of qualifications from A Levels and apprenticeships to vocational courses and university degrees. It is rated good with outstanding provision for engineering and law by Ofsted.  

The college works closely with employers to provide technical, professional and academic education to meet the needs of businesses.

The Well Being Coordinator for Channelside and PPC at Rating Lane focuses on students' mental and physical health. The Recruitment Development Coach assists in student admissions and retention, and the Business Development Coordinator for Hospitality and Catering engages with industry partners to identify training opportunities and curriculum enhancements.
