Alexis C.

Alexis C. has a wealth of experience in software engineering. Alexis began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Texas A&M University in 2010 and a Teaching Assistant at Pomona College in 2009. Alexis then worked as an Online Media Director at KSPC 88.7 FM Claremont from 2009-2010, where they trained volunteers and staff members in WordPress and taught basic HTML/CSS. Alexis also performed weekly updates of KSPC's website and blog, and introduced Google Analytics. In 2011, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Washington University in St. Louis, where they designed and implemented an interface in Java for Looking Glass, an educational software for teaching computer programming to middle school children. Alexis was also a coauthor of a paper accepted to Interaction Design and Children 2012 and presented a poster on research at the 2011 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. In 2012, they worked as a Publishing Intern at Siglio. From 2013-2015, they worked at Kiwi Crate as an Associate Web Developer, Front End Developer, and Consultant. During this time, they were responsible for the front end of all areas of a subscription e-commerce site running on Magento, developed a custom Drupal theme from design spec for an off-shoot brand, and implemented design refreshes across the site to coincide with the release of three new product lines. From 2015-2016, they worked at SmartThings as a Front End Developer, where they developed new areas of the consumer-facing site detailing products, customer stories, and careers, in addition to performing updates relating to promotions, holiday sales, and more. Alexis also supported internationalization of the site for product launches in the UK and Korea, and transitioned the previous vanilla HTML site to a new design built with KeystoneJS. Alexis has been at LeanTaaS since 2016, where they have held the roles of Staff Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. During this time, they have built and maintained product features in Angular for iQueue for Infusion Centers, collaborated with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create charts and other visualizations for retrospective analysis of hospital operations, identified and prioritized front end infrastructure updates and code quality initiatives, on-boarded new hires, mentored junior devs, and performed code reviews. Alexis is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Fuse Inventory.

Alexis C. attended Pomona College from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies.
