About Us
Fusion Care are a leaving care community organisation based in Bury. We work across Lancashire and Greater Manchester providing support to children and young people. We were founded by Ray Porter who had been a foster carer since 2005, after realising that many young people do not always receive the support they need, Fusion was established in 2009. Since then Fusion Care has continued to grow from strength to strength and in total our staff have supported over 100 young people! 

Our Support
Predominantly we work with young people aged 16+ and support them towards independence. These young people may find themselves receiving support from just a few hours per week up to 24/7 staff. We also provide support to children and young people in the community in a range of settings, we call this 'Special Outreach Support'. Some young people find themselves in our care whilst seeking asylum, they receive the same level of support as our other young people. We provide support to parents and children, they receive a key worker who has previously worked with other parents and children and understand what to expect. Finally, we can offer emergency, interim and bridging support placements to children and young people. This can be either at a young person's family or fostering home or at our caravan at Ribby Hall to provide respite and activities during a difficult time.  

Training 
We pride ourselves on being a small company with a big heart. As much as we support our young people, we also support our staff to develop themselves. All our staff receive a mandatory online training package consisting of 10 courses, in addition to this we provide First Aid training within the first year to all team members. 
For those who want to develop themselves further we offer staff to undertake a qualification relevant to them with our partner Bury College. Staff have progressed to Social Work degrees with The Open University!
