Derek Williams has a comprehensive work experience in the IT industry. Derek started their career as a Business VOIP Specialist at MegaPath from May 2012 to January 2013. Following that, they worked at OnRamp as a Technical Support Specialist from January 2013 to July 2013, where they provided technical support for managed and co-located servers. Derek then joined Friendly Mobile Geeks in June 2009 as a Mobile Technician, where they provided on-site technical support for residential customers and small businesses, repairing and servicing various devices and building custom computers. Derek stayed with Friendly Mobile Geeks until October 2013. From October 2013 to June 2015, Derek worked as a NOC Specialist at MegaPath. Derek later joined Fusion Connect in June 2015 and held multiple roles there. Derek started as a TAC Tier 2 before becoming a NOC Technician from February 2018 to June 2022. Currently, Derek holds the position of Implementation Engineer at Fusion Connect, starting in June 2022.

Derek Williams completed their high school education at North Myrtle Beach High School from 1994 to 1998. Afterward, they pursued Information Technology at the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh, NC, where they obtained a degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, in 2001, Derek completed CCNA Training at the North Carolina State Computer Training Unit.
