Howard Beckwith

Howard Beckwith has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Howard started their career as a Local Area Network Analyst at Quanterra Environmental Services, where they provided information system support for the corporate office and multiple laboratories. Howard then worked as an Office Automation Contractor at Aerotek Contract Engineering Services, assisting in the upgrade of workstations, servers, and laptops for the Knoxville Tennessee Valley Authority. After that, Howard worked as a Video on Demand Engineer in North East Asia for Celerity Systems, where they supported and maintained video servers and set-top boxes for major VOD implementations in Korea. Howard then transitioned to Tactics Inc. as a Security Engineer, designing and implementing secure network solutions and acting as a value-added reseller for various technology products. Howard's career then took him to MedCenterDirect.com, where they served as a Senior Network and Systems Security Engineer. Here, they were responsible for the evaluation, redesign, and implementation of a highly available architecture, along with network and security solutions in compliance with HIPAA and SOX. As a Systems Engineer Sr Staff at Lockheed Martin, Howard played a key role in the design, implementation, and functional testing of security models for FBI systems. Howard supported the Technical Refresh Program for the Criminal Justice Information Services Division. Next, Howard joined Noblis as a Principal, where they fulfilled multiple responsibilities including supporting federal agencies, serving as an ISSM and security consultant, shaping security policy, and providing program and technical guidance. Howard later joined Sotera Defense Solutions as a Senior Systems Security Engineer, where they were involved in technical lead roles and served as a security architect for the FBI CJIS Division. Finally, Howard is currently working as the Chief Information Security Officer at Fusion Technology LLC.

Howard Beckwith attended Maryville College from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Organizational Management. In 2004, they went on to pursue a Masters degree at American InterContinental University, specializing in Information Systems with a concentration in Internet Security, which they completed in 2006. Prior to their college education, Howard attended Heritage High School from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they obtained two certifications, becoming a Certified Cloud Architect and a Certified Cloud Professional from Arcitura IT Certified Professional (AITCP) in September 2013.
