Sergio Fernandez began their career in 2010 as a Teaching Assistant at the Technological University of Havana. In 2014, they became a Cofounder and Software Engineer for Ke hay pa hoy?, where they applied innovative solutions in mobile app development for the entertainment and internet services industries in Cuba. In 2016, they began working as a Product Development Engineer for Night Owl Security Products LLC, where they designed, developed, maintained, and tested new products from concept to production. In 2018, they took on the role of Software Engineer and DevOps Engineer for Tellus, LLC., where they assisted the company's DevOps team to maintain Kubernetes Infrastructure and Jenkins pipelines, and developed a serverless IVR solution. In 2017, they became a Cofounder and Architect for Speak Slow LLC, where they implemented automatic CI/CD pipelines and designed backend and frontend applications. Finally, in 2019, they began working as a DevOps Engineer and Backend Team Lead for Fúsus, where they implemented automatic CI/CD pipelines, developed and maintained backend APIs, and designed and developed a Client/Server Python TCP tunnel solution for IoT devices.
Sergio Fernandez obtained a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana "José Antonio Echeverría" in 2014. In 2018, they completed a certification in AWS Solution Architect from Amazon Web Services.
