Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in developing advanced analytic platforms and machine learning algorithms. Since September 2013, Michael has been with FuturaVis Foundation, focusing on social and information network analysis, as well as creating automated information warfare frameworks. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Fractalics from January 2012 to September 2013, where responsibilities included predictive analytics and profiling. Michael's career commenced as a Data Scientist Trainee at Fractalics, involving social network trend analysis and natural language processing (NLP) implementation, alongside an earlier role as a Software Engineer (Machine Learning) at Opossum, specializing in text analysis using NLP. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UCLA.
