Chris Fetterly

Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Future Fields

Chris Fetterly has a diverse work experience starting from 2007 to the present. Chris worked as an Engineering Technologist at ANDRITZ AUTOMATION from 2007 to 2010. Later in 2012, they became a Research Associate at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) for a year. In 2018, they joined the University of Alberta as the Director of the Student Innovation Centre until 2020. Currently, since February 2020, Chris is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Future Fields (YC S20).

Chris Fetterly completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Chemistry and Nanoscience at the University of Alberta from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Hons) degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) between 2010 and 2013. Chris also holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, which they earned from 2005 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Chris completed a Software Product Management Capstone and a Software Product Management Specialization from Coursera in November 2019. Chris also obtained certifications in Agile Planning for Software Products, Reviews & Metrics for Software Improvements, Client Needs and Software Requirements, Introduction to Software Product Management, and Software Processes and Agile Practices from Coursera in 2019. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in The Practice of Coaching: An Introduction to Positioning Others from the Roy Group in September 2018.
