Michael Shirley

Michael Shirley is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in trading and risk management. Currently serving as Head of Markets at Futures First since June 2024, Michael previously held various leadership roles at OSTC Ltd., including Head of Trading, Chief Risk Officer, and Managing Director, responsible for the Governance Risk, Compliance, and Control Frameworks. Michael also has experience as a Proprietary Trader and served as Chairman of the Alun Wyn Jones Testimonial Year committee, organizing major charity events. Earlier career roles include Money Markets Trader at Abbey National Treasury Services and Price Reporter at Euronext.liffe. Michael holds degrees from prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a BSc in Business Administration from Cardiff University.
