Josh Kotlowitz

Chief Technology Officer at Future Forex

Josh Kotlowitz has a diverse range of work experience. Josh is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Future Forex, where they use their software background to automate trading procedures, enhance the client experience, and ensure system security. Josh also focuses on developing and improving Future Forex's service offerings.

Before joining Future Forex, Josh founded Classic Rides, an online booking platform for chauffeured classic cars, in 2018. Josh built and maintains the platform, manages marketing efforts, and drives service development.

In 2016, Josh worked as a Design Engineer at Space Advisory Company. Here, they finalized the design and implemented a robotic rig for testing satellite electronics in the LEO environment. Josh also developed remote control code and facilitated the switch over of a satellite imager software.

Prior to that, in 2015, they were the Lead Engineer at Aerobotics, a start-up specializing in UAVs for agricultural purposes. Josh assisted in managing the company, supervised and trained students, conducted business planning, and designed branding and visual aids for marketing. Josh was also involved in the development of software packages and automated unmanned aerial systems.

Before their involvement with Aerobotics, Josh worked briefly as a Drone Testing Team Assistant at Shaya E-Security in 2013.

Josh started their career as an Engineer Assistant at SA Metal Group in 2012. During this time, they designed basic components and contributed to a project involving an automatic coil stacker. Josh also gained valuable experience shadowing a lead engineer, acquiring knowledge about maintenance and safety in a large-scale industrial workplace.

Josh Kotlowitz completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electromechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town from 2011 to 2014. Josh then pursued a Master's degree in Space Science and Engineering, specializing in Space Technology, from UCL and Chevening Awards from 2017 to 2018.
