Karin Halliday has over 35 years of work experience in the finance industry. Karin is currently working as the Director of Investment Stewardship & ESG at Future Fund since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Co-Chair of the Human Capital Committee at the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) starting from September 2021.
In their previous positions at AMP Capital, Karin served as a Senior Manager in ESG & Investment Stewardship. Karin was also a Senior Manager in Governance and Sustainable Investment, where they monitored corporate governance activity and determined voting on resolutions for Australian companies. Additionally, they worked as a Manager of Corporate Governance and an Investment Specialist, liaising between portfolio managers and clients. Karin started their career at AMP Limited as an Accounts Assistant in 1984. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in investment stewardship, ESG, corporate governance, and portfolio management.
Karin Halliday's education history includes various academic accomplishments and professional development. Karin attended the University of Technology Sydney, where they earned a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Accounting and Communication. Additionally, Karin completed a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance with a specialization in Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management through FINSIA. Karin also enrolled in the Graduate - Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Apart from formal education, Karin participated in the Leadership Program offered by Chief Executive Women. Recently, they obtained a certification in "Fighting Gender Bias at Work" from LinkedIn in March 2022.
