Simay Batum is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Geomatics at Delft University of Technology. As an MSc thesis researcher at Future Insight Group since November 2023, Simay is involved in integrating LADM with IFC/CityGML models for a BIM-based permit control project associated with the Estonian Ministry of Climate. Previously, Simay contributed as a JIP Project Member at Airbus Netherlands B.V., collaborating on a model for detecting methane emissions from offshore platforms. Prior experience includes an internship at Goland Urban Design, focusing on landscape architecture and urban design, as well as a landscape architecture internship at Anıtkabir where expertise in plant identification and ecological needs was developed. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design from Bilkent University.
