Future Is Mine CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise that exists to raise public awareness of critical minerals and their applications, and is aimed predominantly at primary aged (4-11 years) children. We engage and connect young people with earth sciences, mining and mineral uses. We do this though school workshops via our flagship schools outreach programmes, through our free online learning resources, and our Critical Minerals 101 hub.

Critical minerals are the essential ingredients in our modern lives. They are found in everything from our smartphones and laptops, to our cars, airplanes and our buildings. The clean energy transition is now driving unprecedented demand for critical minerals, with these materials needed for technologies like lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, photovoltaic solar cells, and wind turbines.

With looming skills gaps in geology, mining and materials science sectors, now more than ever we need young people excited and curious about the role of earth sciences and mined materials in their lives.
