Allan Corfield

Allan Corfield is a highly experienced Chartered Architect and Managing Director of Allan Corfield Architects Limited, founded in June 2009, which specializes in low energy one-off homes for custom and self-build clients. In addition to leading his architecture firm, Allan holds the position of Board Member at the National Custom and Self Build Association since November 2024 and serves as Managing Director of Allan Corfield Structures Ltd since January 2021. Allan is also a writer for Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine and a public speaker at related shows, sharing expertise on self-building. Previous roles include Head of Architecture & Placemaking at Custom Build Homes and Project Architect at Watson Burnett Architects, along with contributions to the BNI Carnegie Chapter as a Board Member from 2010 to 2014. Allan Corfield completed a MA/BSc Hons in Architecture at Robert Gordon University, where studies were pursued from 1999 to 2005.
