Christopher Flanagan is currently the Head of Legal at Future, a position held since February 2024. Flanagan has been actively involved in the academic realm as an Associate Editor and Managing Editor for the International Sports Law Journal at T.M.C. Asser Instituut since 2018. Prior to the role at Future, Flanagan served as the Sole Regional Legal Counsel (UK) and Data Protection Officer at TEG Pty Ltd from September 2022 to February 2024, and held various legal positions at TSB Bank, including Senior Lawyer in Disputes and Investigations. Flanagan’s earlier career includes roles at Simmons & Simmons and TLT as an Associate and Trainee Solicitor, respectively. Academic qualifications include a forthcoming PhD in Sports Law from the University of Warwick and degrees in law from the University of Exeter and the University of the West of England.
