Michael O'Brien

Michael O'Brien is a Senior Civil Servant with two decades of experience delivering His Majesty’s Government priorities both domestically and internationally. Previously, Michael worked as a Forensic Researcher and Senior Analyst at Dstl, and served in various secondments at the UK Ministry of Defence, including roles as a Network Analyst and Policy Adviser. Michael has held leadership positions such as Head of Programme and Head of Strategy at the UK Home Office, and most recently serves as Deputy Director of Strategic Planning at the National Crime Agency. In addition to this extensive background, Michael has been a Trustee at Future Schools Trust since 2022 and holds a Master of Science from Birkbeck College, University of London.
