Dilruk Perera

Dilruk Perera, PhD, is an experienced data scientist and AI strategist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Future Secure AI since September 2025. As a co-founder and CTO of RecceLabs (Pvt) Ltd from January 2020 to December 2024, significant contributions included advising C-level executives on AI strategies and leading cross-functional teams to develop a real-time AI recommendation platform. Past roles include Lead Data Scientist and Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, where Dilruk built high-performing AI teams and developed machine learning solutions to address biases in clinical decisions. Other notable experiences include a Research Scientist position at Rakuten, where a novel LSTM-based multi-task learning framework was developed, and a consultancy role at HeHealth, leading the development of multimodal AI diagnostic tools. Dilruk holds a PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and a First Class Honors BSc in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa.
