Fahmi Hosain has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Fahmi is currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at Future Super, a position they assumed in 2023. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2023, Fahmi was the Head of Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs at the same company.
Before joining Future Super, Fahmi worked at Rhizome Advisory Group, where they co-founded and served as the Managing Director from 2018 to 2020. Prior to this, Fahmi held several senior positions at APRA (Australian Prudential Regulation Authority). Fahmi served as the Head of Governance, Culture & Remuneration from 2015 to 2017 and was responsible for leading a newly created unit that provided expert advice on governance, risk culture, and remuneration issues. Fahmi also held roles as a Senior Manager in the Diversified Institutions Division and played a key role in supervising major banking groups and developing risk management policies.
Fahmi's earlier experience includes working as a Business Analyst at Cashcard Australia Limited from 1999 to 2000. In 2021, they briefly served as a Climate Striker at Not Business As Usual.
Throughout their career, Fahmi has showcased expertise in risk management, governance, policy development, and industry supervision.
Fahmi Hosain completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia in 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Economics from The Australian National University between 1995 and 1998.
