Alex Kirk

Alex Kirk has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2022, Alex worked as a Research Analyst at FXC Intelligence. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2021, Alex worked as a Research Analyst at RBR, where their responsibilities included primary and secondary research with a focus on China, Taiwan, and Latin American markets. From 2018 to 2019, Alex worked as a Business Consultant at Counton Global Mobility Solutions, primarily focusing on matchmaking Chinese investors with UK businesses and supporting them throughout the visa application process. In the same year, Alex also held a role as part of the Translation Team at Language Connect, where they conducted quality assurance checks and supported the recruitment and assessment of freelance linguists. In 2017, Alex worked as an In-house Translator at Hongyan Translation Co. and also held roles as a Translation and Marketing Assistant at Kanghua Community Development Center and as an Entry Clearance Officer at UK Visas and Immigration.

Alex Kirk attended The University of Edinburgh from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chinese and Spanish. In 2017, Kirk furthered their education at National Taiwan Normal University, completing a program at the Mandarin Training Center with a focus on Advanced Business Chinese. Kirk also spent a year at Zhejiang University in 2015, studying Chinese Language and Literature. Additionally, in the same year, they attended the University of Havana for a brief period for studies in Spanish Language and Literature.
