Brandon Massey

Senior Associate at FXCollaborative

Working on a diverse range of project types, Brandon collaborates with design teams, consultants, and the clients to craft projects from initial ideas to construction. In early project phases, he produces design packages and competition entries instrumental in helping institutions and developers see their projects’ full potential.

Both of Brandon's parents are artists, so he was no stranger to the idea of living a creative life—one he first resisted until an art and architectural history course compelled him (and taught him that Le Corbusier, one of his parents’ favorite painters, happened to be an architect as well). Wanting more than to just be creative, Brandon seeks to effect lasting change through design.

Brandon's versatility supplements projects of different scales and phases, from cultural and community-based projects such as the Statue of Liberty Museum and Brooklyn Bridge Park to commercial, residential, and urban design. As the field becomes ever more all-encompassing, he has become involved in interdisciplinary projects such as his group's winning design for New York City litter baskets, and looks forward to collaborating with landscape architects, developers, and artists. He passes on his enthusiasm for the future to high school students through the ACE Mentor Program (Architecture, Construction and Engineering), encouraging them to pursue careers in design and construction.
