Chris Booth has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare and research roles. Chris began their career as a STARS Program Research Intern at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2005. Chris then worked as an Emergency Medical Technician at Yellow Ambulance in 2008. In 2010, Chris served as a Research Intern at the University of Cape Town Cardiovascular Research Unit. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Research Intern and Summer Research Intern at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Chris continued their tenure at the same institute from 2011 to 2013, taking on the roles of Imaging Core Technician and Research Assistant II. Most recently, Chris joined FYR Diagnostics in 2019, where they have held the positions of Director of Research and Development and Chief Executive Officer since 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Chris Booth completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General at Wake Forest University from 2007 to 2011. In 2013, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology with a specialization in Pharmacology/Molecular Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Simultaneously, from 2015 to 2019, they also served as a Visiting Graduate Student at UC San Diego in the field of Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
