Ali Hamedani currently serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences since May 2025. Previously, Ali held the position of Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Sabanci University from September 2013 to May 2025, focusing on photocatalysis applications of refractory plasmonic nanostructures and the application of transition-metal nitride plasmonic nanoparticles in photoelectrocatalytic water-splitting. Additionally, Ali engaged in a short-term post-doctoral position and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, developing scalable methods for high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, a project funded by TÜBİTAK. From September 2022 to October 2023, Ali contributed as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research & Application Center, specializing in efficient catalytic conversion of polysulfides for long-life Li-Sulfur batteries. Ali holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Sabanci University and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
