Thibault Derrien

Thibault Derrien is a Senior Researcher leading the Ultrafast Photonics group at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Quantum Dynamics of Systems group at IT4Innovations. They obtained a PhD in Physics from Aix-Marseille University, where they studied light-matter interactions. Thibault is a Marie Curie Fellow and has developed a theory of light-induced nanostructure formation, holding a EU patent in laser nanostructuring. With approximately 30 publications to their name, they also serve as an associate editor for Optica and actively mentor students and post-docs. Their work aims to bridge classical theories and quantum dynamics, advancing applications in chemistry, biology, and quantum computing.
