Leon Dimas

Scientific Director at G-Research

Leon Dimas has a strong background in quantitative analysis and scientific research. Leon began their career in 2009 as a Summer Intern at Ramboll, followed by internships at Norconsult AS in 2010 and Aas-Jakobsen AS in 2011. In 2011, they joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a PhD Candidate and completed their studies in 2015. During their time at MIT, Leon also served as Co-President of MITxplore from 2012 to 2015. After completing their PhD, Leon joined G-Research in 2015 as a Quantitative Analyst and later progressed to the role of Scientific Director in March 2021.

Leon Dimas completed their education in a chronological order. Leon pursued a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2007 to 2013. During their time there, they also obtained a Master's degree in Science (M.Sc.) in Structural Engineering. Following this, they joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they completed their academic journey at MIT by earning a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science from 2010 to 2015.
