Deputy COO at G-Research

Matthew Evans has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Matthew started their career as a Research Assistant at MIT, where they worked from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they joined Vanderbilt University as a Research Associate for a brief period of five months in 2005.

In 2005, Matthew transitioned to the aerospace and defense sector, joining Lockheed Martin. Matthew held various roles during their time at Lockheed Martin, including Staff Materials Engineer, Integrated Product Team Lead, Program Manager, and Associate in Corporate Strategy and Business Development. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Senior Manager for Advanced Technology, Corporate Engineering and Technology, where they focused on technology programs and operational support.

In 2013, Matthew joined Siemens Energy as the Director of Smarter Services, where they were responsible for data-driven services and go-to-market strategies. Matthew then moved on to Airbus, where they held two positions: VP of Digital Transformation from 2015 to 2019 and VP of Performance Management and Transformation from 2019 to 2020. At Airbus, they led several transformative initiatives, including the development of integrated platforms and the creation of Skywise, an open data platform in the aviation industry.

Following their time at Airbus, Matthew became Chief Technology Officer and later Chief Operating Officer at TopHat, a construction company focused on advanced manufacturing and digital continuity. Matthew played a key role in scaling up TopHat's unique production platform and revolutionizing housing through technology integration and digital supply chain management.

Most recently, in 2023, Matthew joined G-Research as the Deputy COO.

Matthew Evans earned their B.A. in Physics from Cornell University in 2000. Matthew then went on to pursue their Ph.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2005.
