Scott Nelson

Scott Nelson has over 25 years of work experience in software engineering and development. Scott currently works at GE as a Staff Software Engineer, where they have been since October 2022. Prior to that, Scott worked at g2o as a Software Engineering Contractor, leading the development of the Consensus project and providing customer support. Scott also worked at BAREFOOT and Redstitch Digital as a Software Engineering Contractor, where they worked on various projects for large clients including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and front-end development. Scott also worked as a Senior Application Developer at Incendia Partners and Information Control Company, where they developed various Rails applications, created gems, and managed bug fixes and features. Before that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Cordata Healthcare Innovations and Balanced Insight, working on product support, maintenance, and rewriting legacy applications. Scott started their career as a Software Engineer at Ecova, where they developed and maintained a web application. Additionally, they worked as a server at Knotty Pine on the Bayou for over a decade.

Scott Nelson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Technology from Northern Kentucky University between 2001 and 2006.
