Gad’s Hill School is a happy, vibrant independent day school in the Kent countryside, educating approximately 330 pupils aged 3–16. Founded in 1924 and set within the former home of Charles Dickens, we offer a distinctive educational experience that blends literary heritage with modern facilities and a broad, ambitious curriculum.
 
Our school comprises a Kindergarten (for children from age 3), a Junior School (from age 7), and an Upper School (ages 11–16), providing a seamless journey from Early Years through to GCSE. Pupils benefit from small class sizes, personalised teaching, and strong pastoral care. Academic excellence is complemented by creative, sporting and leadership opportunities, including pathways to an impressive range of GCSEs, as well as enrichment through Duke of Edinburgh, LAMDA, BTEC and ILM qualifications.
 
Set within 12 acres of grounds, our facilities include a theatre, sports hall, MUGA and sports field, Forest School provision, fully equipped science labs, and extensive outdoor spaces that support learning and wellbeing. We also operate dedicated bus routes across Kent and Medway and hire facilities for performances, sports events, workshops and training days.
