Chris Herbert

Chris Herbert is an accomplished professional in the field of environmental, health, and safety management, currently serving as Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety at GAF since June 2023. Prior to this role, Chris held various leadership positions at Airgas from July 2016 to May 2023, including Vice President of Health, Safety, Environment & IMS, and played a critical role in the HSE integration during the Air Liquide and Airgas merger. Chris's experience also includes serving as Sr. Director and Director of Health and Safety at Air Liquide, as well as leading health and safety initiatives as Regional Health, Safety, and PSM Team Leader at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Chris began the career as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager in various organizations, including Hospira Pharmaceutical and Hayes Lemmerz International. Chris holds a Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Advanced Safety Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master's degree in Industrial and Management System Engineering with an emphasis on Safety Management from West Virginia University.
