Michael Kjelson

Michael Kjelson serves as the Engineering Manager for Manufacturing Technology at GAF since July 2021, where leadership includes overseeing the design of custom machinery to enhance roofing supply manufacturing. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Energy Recovery, Inc., including Team Lead for Product Engineering and Senior Mechanical Engineer in R&D, resulting in successful product launches and extensive design work on fluid machinery. Michael's experience also encompasses a significant tenure at GE Transportation, where roles included Lead Design Engineer and involvement in the Edison Engineering Development Program, focusing on engine cooling systems and validation testing. Michael holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Miami, respectively.
