Tim Powell

Tim Powell has over 25 years of work experience in software engineering. Tim began their career in 1993 as a Senior Software Engineer at SGI. In 1998, they joined Seascape Communications as a Senior Software Engineer and Architect, where they designed and implemented a TCP/IP and UDP based mission-critical Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA). In 2001, they worked at Commandscape, Inc. as a Project and Customer Manager and Technical and Software Project Lead, where they designed and implemented a scalable, fail-safe, mission-critical Alarm and Monitoring system. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at DigitalGlobe Spacecraft Operations as a Technical Engineering Lead/Dashboard, where they designed and implemented a satellite status dashboard for monitoring ground system processes and tracking the flow of imagery from satellite downlink to production delivery. From 2010 to 2015, they were a Senior Software Engineer at MakeMusic, where they were responsible for new features, bug fixes, builds, packaging and releases of a music education application, SmartMusic. In 2018, they became a Senior Software Engineer at PDS, where they used Docker, aspnet, and SQL to scaffold a new project. Tim is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Gaia Inc.

Tim Powell attended Purdue University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
