Gallerie Nvya was founded in 2004 by Tripat K Kalra with a vision to provide a platform that aims at empowering emerging artists to surge ahead whilst fuelled by the power of their creative impulses, bringing together the modern, the contemporary, the new age, and the experimental. Until recently, its main areas of focus included works of masters and established artists. With the next generation coming in to manage the gallery, Meher Kalra brings with her the knowledge of cutting-edge, emerging new talent. 

Having started its journey from a space in Friends Colony, the continuous growth of the gallery has resulted in the opening of additional spaces in Saket, at the private charter lounges at the Delhi and Ahmedabad airports, as well as at the renowned art institution Triveni Kala Sangam.

Other collaborations include Hotel Taj Palace and Hotel Pullman in New Delhi, DLF Magnolias, DLF Cyber Park, and Two Horizon Centre, Gurgaon. 

Over the last two decades, Gallerie Nvya has hosted important exhibitions and retrospectives of senior artists accompanied by serious academic publications. The gallery has had the privilege to be associated with eminent writers and curators such as Dr. Alka Pande, Prof. Rajeev Lochan, Prof. B. N. Goswami, Prof. Ashis Nandy, Prof. R. Shiva Kumar, Prof. Seema Bawa, Sushma Bahl, Uma Nair, Ranjit Hoskote, Ina Puri, and Priya Pall to name a few.
