Lis Harrington is a seasoned professional in advocacy and organizational change, currently serving as the Training and Commercial Manager at Galop, the LGBT+ Anti-Abuse Charity, where responsibilities include creating educational initiatives for various sectors to address LGBT+ survivor experiences. In former roles at Galop, Lis worked as a Communications and Engagement Officer and LGBT+ Domestic Violence Advocate, focusing on support for LGBT+ individuals facing violence and abuse. Additionally, Lis has experience as a Gender Specialist Consultant at Cherie Enns Planning Consultant Inc., and previously held positions as a Constituency Assistant for the Vancouver Mount Pleasant Constituency Office and a Project Coordinator at The East African Institute at Aga Khan University. Educational background includes a Master’s in Gender, Violence, and Conflict from the University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of the Fraser Valley.
