Simon Williams

Simon Williams is the current Co-COO at GALY. Prior to this, they were the President & CEO of Tepha from 1998-2012. Simon has also worked as an independent consultant in the medical device industry from 2013-2014.

Williams has extensive experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on absorbable biomaterials. Simon is responsible for the development and commercialization of 17 FDA-regulated medical devices, including hernia repair mesh, absorbable sutures, and scaffolds for ligament and tendon repair. Simon also has 44 US patents to their name.

In 2021, Williams was acquired by Becton Dickinson.

Simon Williams earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from Brunel University London.
