Lauren Hunter is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in research and population health. Currently serving as the Research Lead at GambleAware since September 2022, Lauren previously held roles at Counties Manukau Health, including Population Health Advisor focused on Alcohol Harm Minimisation and Population Health Practitioner for the Living Smokefree Service. Educational background includes a Master of Public Health and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from the University of Auckland, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Health Science. Additionally, Lauren has academic experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, and has contributed to various health promotion and behaviour change projects within research and community settings.

GambleAware is an independent, grant-making charity commissioning prevention and treatment services across England, Scotland and Wales to keep people safe from gambling harms.
