Michael Stein's work experience includes a variety of legal roles in different companies. Michael started their career as an attorney in various law firms, including Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP, Buchalter, Nemer, and Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP. After that, they worked as a corporate, securities, and M&A attorney at DLA Piper LLP, where they gained recognition for their excellent judgment and rapid responses. Michael then joined Caesars Entertainment Corporation as an Associate Chief Counsel - Transactional, where they assisted with significant transactions and restructuring projects. Michael later worked at Everi Holdings Inc. as the SVP, Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Compliance Officer, focusing on SEC reporting, finance, and commercial contracts. Michael also managed all aspects of the company's commercial litigation matters. Following that, they served as a corporate partner at DLA Piper, splitting time between the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore offices. Their next role was Senior Vice President, General Counsel at Live Ventures Incorporated, where they oversaw legal affairs for a diversified holding company. Currently, Michael holds the position of SVP, General Counsel at Gambling.com Group, where they manage the in-house legal team and oversees SEC filings, M&A transactions, and other legal matters. Michael has also been a Charter Member of TechGC since 2022.
Michael Stein completed their education at various institutions. Michael obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, starting in 1996 and ending in 1999. Prior to that, they attended the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, where they pursued a Master's degree and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, from 1991 to 1996.
