Samuel Banks has a diverse work experience in the sports and media industry. Samuel started their career in 2010 as a Broadcasting and on-air promotions assistant at NBC Universal. Samuel provided research and quality control support for NBC Sunday Night Football and Pro Football Talk Fantasy Football. In 2012, they joined Major League Soccer, where they supported the Vice President of Broadcasting in creating leaguewide correspondence and assisted with ticketing operations for the MLS All-Star Game. Later that year, Samuel moved to the National Basketball Association (NBA) and took on the role of Basketball Operations Assistant, working closely with the President of NBA basketball operations and creating data-driven models for free agency and rule modifications. Samuel then transitioned to Ticket Operations & Partner Management, where they were responsible for sales and service activities related to NBA ticket operations, as well as coordinating with teams on pricing and revenue maximization. Samuel also played a key role in driving strategic thinking around the future of NBA ticketing and leading operational initiatives for major events such as the NBA All-Star Game and NBA Finals. In 2021, Samuel joined Gamelancer Media as a Board of Directors & DEI Lead.

Samuel Banks holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Negotiation & Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued another Master of Science degree in Sports Business at New York University from 2012 to 2014. Their undergraduate education was completed at St. John's University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sport Management.
