Miao Wang has a work experience that spans two companies and multiple roles. They started their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant at Purdue University, where they worked until 2011. In 2011, Miao joined Gamma Technologies as a Senior Engineer and later took on the role of Staff Engineer. Currently, Miao is serving as a Team Lead for Electrical Solver Development at Gamma Technologies. They have been with the company since 2011.
Miao Wang obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a B.E. in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering from Tsinghua University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their academic degrees, Miao Wang has also obtained several certifications. These include completing courses such as Equivalent Circuit Cell Model Simulation, Introduction to Agile Development and Scrum, Introduction to Power Electronics, Introduction to Battery-Management Systems, and Machine Learning, all from Coursera. The certifications were obtained between the years 2021 and 2022.

Gamma Technologies develops and licenses GT-SUITE, a leading multi-physics CAE system simulation software. GT-SUITE includes a complete library of physics-based modeling templates covering fluid flow, thermalsystems, mechanics, electrics, magnetics, chemistry and controls.
