Nikhil B.

Nikhil B.'s work experience includes a role as a Battery Applications Engineer at Gamma Technologies starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for System Dynamics and Control Systems at The University of Kansas from 2020 to 2022, and as a Math Tutor from 2020 to 2021. Nikhil also worked as a Student Researcher at the Information and Smart Systems Laboratory from 2020 to 2022, where they conducted experiments, created battery models, and led discussions on battery state estimation and fault detection.

Before their time at the Information and Smart Systems Laboratory, Nikhil worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Mechanical Engineering Measurements and Experiments at The University of Kansas from 2019 to 2020, and as a Student Researcher designing an electric bus from 2019 to 2019. Nikhil also served as the Business Lead for the University of Kansas Solar Car from 2017 to 2019.

Additionally, Nikhil has held various roles at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers - Student Chapter 03 from 2017 to 2019, including Treasurer, Co-Founder, and Project Coordinator. Nikhil was also a Treasurer for Peer Leadership Consultants from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Engineering Associate at the Center for Advanced Professional Studies Ltd from 2014 to 2016 and as an Intern at Kiewit in 2016.

Overall, Nikhil has gained experience in battery applications, teaching and tutoring, research, project management, and engineering-related roles throughout their work history.

Nikhil B. started their education at Blue Valley North High School, where they completed their high school education from 2014 to 2016. After graduating from high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas - School of Engineering, studying from 2016 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, Nikhil obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing their education in 2021.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Nikhil also obtained certifications during their education. In July 2020, they completed the AT&T Summer Learning Academy Extern program conducted by AT&T. Nikhil also acquired an Engineer [Intern] certification from The Kansas State Board of Technical Professions in the same month and year, further enhancing their skill set.
