Rob French has a diversified work experience in the field of customer support and IP operations. Rob started their career in 1998 at Marconi PLC as a Customer Support Engineer, where they worked until 2010. During their time at Marconi, they gained expertise in customer support. In 2010, they joined Ericsson as a Customer Support Engineer, where they worked on multiple product sets and provided customer-facing support. In 2014, they joined Gamma as an IP Operations Engineer, responsible for maintaining the IP estate, customer provisions, platform maintenance, configuration changes, solution design, and troubleshooting. Rob later became the IP Operations Technical Lead at Gamma in 2017.
Rob French attended Hugh Baird University Centre from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Rob then went on to study at Liverpool John Moores University from 1995 to 1998, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. In terms of certifications, Rob obtained a Cisco CCNP (SWITCH) certification from Cisco in June 2016. Rob also holds a Cisco CCNA (R&S) certification, although the specifics of when and where they obtained it are not provided.
