Fareez Razak

Fareez Razak's work experience is as follows:

- From 2018 to the present, they worked at GAMUDA as a Sustainability Lead, responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies for the company's infrastructure and building projects. Fareez also spearheaded research on sustainability, including circular economy and low carbon strategies. Prior to this role, they were the Lead for Waste, Recycling & Circular Economy at GAMUDA, where they developed and implemented waste management and recycling initiatives.

- From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Engineer at GAMUDA, assisting in the planning of common infrastructure services for the Penang South Islands project, the Penang Light Rail Transit, and the Pan Island Link projects. Fareez also coordinated with design teams and utility owners.

- From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an M&E Engineer at GAMUDA, focusing on technical and commercial pre-qualification of contractors and planning for installation of utility and M&E services for the Malaysia High Speed Rail and Penang Light Rail Transit projects. Fareez also ventured into digital engineering to improve productivity.

Fareez Razak completed their education in a sequential manner. Fareez attended MRSM Pengkalan Chepa from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (Malaysian Certificate of Education) in the Science Stream. Afterwards, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Cambridge A-level degree in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at Kolej MARA Seremban. Finally, from 2014 to 2017, Fareez Razak studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sydney, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Hydropower Sustainability Standard Certified User from the Hydropower Sustainability Alliance in 2023 and as a Certified Sustainable INFRASTAR Facilitator from CIDB Malaysia in 2021.
