Edo van der Bas

Head of Accounts at Gapstars

Edo van der Bas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Edo most recently worked as the Head of Accounts at Gapstars since June 2020. Prior to this, they owned their own company, VDB Interim & Advies, starting in October 2017.

In 2019, Edo served as a Growth Consultant and Project Lead at weGrow International until July 2021. Edo then joined Takeaway.com in October 2018, where they held two positions: Principal Project Manager from October 2018 to June 2019, and Human Resources Project Manager from October 2017 to October 2018. In the latter role, they led an international project focused on strategic expansion, including employer branding and international procurement.

Edo also took a sabbatical from March 2017 to October 2017. Before that, Edo worked at ATG Europe as the Commercial Director from October 2014 to February 2017, where they managed various commercial and support departments and played a key role in business development.

Prior to ATG Europe, Edo served as an International Business Development Manager at The Adecco Group from April 2013 to September 2014. In this role, they were responsible for revenue and EVA growth and led international account teams.

Edo also held multiple roles at The Adecco Group from November 2004 to February 2009, including Regional Director. Edo was in charge of commercial and operational management of an area with multiple branches, overseeing sales, P&L, and HR functions.

Edo's work experience also includes a trainee position at Fokker Technologies Holding B.V. as an EC-Liaison Office Trainee from September 2003 to February 2004.

Edo van der Bas pursued their education in a variety of institutions. Edo began their academic journey at Lorentz casimir Lyceum in 1989 and completed their secondary education there in 1997. Following this, Edo enrolled at Leiden University in 1997, concentrating their studies in Law and English. After three years at Leiden University, they moved to the University of Amsterdam, where they pursued a Master's degree in European Studies from 2000 to 2005. At the University of Amsterdam, Edo earned their Drs. degree, demonstrating their commitment to furthering their knowledge in the field.
