Terry Smith

Terry Smith currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Garfield Refining Company since July 2017. Prior to this, Terry worked at DLA Piper from January 2010 to July 2017 as a Litigation Associate, specializing in business torts, complex commercial litigation, products liability, class action defense, and compliance and regulatory issues, with experience in both federal and state courts. Terry also contributed as a New Perimeter Fellow. Terry holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law (2006 - 2009) and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Richmond (1999 - 2003), along with educational experiences at Queen Mary University of London and St. Paul's School.
