Andrew Hooper

Andrew Hooper is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded systems and firmware development. Currently serving as a Technical Lead Software Engineer at Garmin International since October 2016, Andrew specializes in datalink applications for certified flight decks, enhancing communication between pilots and air traffic control. Prior to this role, Andrew accumulated significant expertise at Intel Corporation from August 2010 to October 2016, where responsibilities included developing firmware for Optane DIMM memory controllers and creating virtual models of SoC components. Andrew's early career features internships and a test engineering position at Emulex, where skills in automated testing and performance management were honed.
