Chris Shugg has over 25 years of experience in software engineering, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Garmin since January 2010, previously holding positions such as Senior Manager and Software Engineering Manager within the same company. Prior to Garmin, Chris worked at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications from October 2000 to January 2010 as a Software Development Manager and Systems Engineer, following a role at Ericsson/Sony Ericsson as a Software Engineer from January 1997 to October 2000. Chris began a career in software engineering at Siemens from January 1995 to January 1997. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, where studies were completed from 1990 to 1994.
