Marites Shields has over two decades of experience in the IT and software quality assurance sectors. Since August 2010, Marites has been with Garmin, progressing through various leadership roles including Team Leader for Identity and Access Management, IT Tools Team Lead, and IT Quality Assurance Team Leader, along with serving as a Software QA Specialist. Prior to Garmin, Marites worked at U.S. Central as a Test Automation Engineer from July 2004 to August 2010 and at Sprint as a Load Test Engineer from October 2001 to July 2004. Marites holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, obtained between 1992 and 1997.
