Timothy Place is a highly experienced software engineer specializing in audio and digital signal processing, currently serving as the Technical Lead Software Engineer at Garmin since October 2020, following a role as a Senior Software Engineer on the Audio DSP team. Prior to Garmin, Timothy worked at Cycling '74 as a Research Engineer for over 15 years and contributed as a Software Architect to the open-source project Jamoma. Additionally, Timothy co-founded Electrotap and held the position of Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Timothy holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (ABD) in Composition and a Master of Music in Composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the State University of New York College at Potsdam.
