The reason organizations rarely implement their strategic growth goals is because the team isn’t bought in and doesn’t believe that they will make a difference. And, no matter how many meetings and training your team goes through, it just doesn’t stick, leaving leadership scratching their heads, not knowing what to do now to make the change needed to grow.

Inevitably there are 7 reasons a company fails to meet its strategic growth goals:

➀ Not anchored to a compelling vision. Employees don’t understand how they contribute to the strategic plan, let alone the impact they have on the results.

➁ Not Integrated into daily processes because the organization has treated its strategic growth strategy as an add-on responsibility. It is seen as a chore, not as a foundational responsibility.

➂ Big ideas that are not broken down into implementable activities create a sense of hopelessness and helplessness that causes the strategic implementation to be ignored.

➃ The strategy fails to tap into every team member’s experience and insight. You hired people a reason, why are you limiting their potential to help your organization grow? Typically egos and fear get in the way of innovative ideas that our team has to contribute.

➄ The strategic plan is not part of the daily conversation let alone used as a guideline or roadmap to making good decisions that lead to effective results.

➅ There are no clearly defined measurable metrics for each team member or they are using the wrong KPIs to determine if the plan is getting the expected results.

➆ Employees are not aligned with our values and vision.

How is this resolved? Through an authentically curious mindset that transforms the way your team communicates, makes decisions and commits to action.
