Amanda Khoury

Research Officer at Garvan Institute of Medical Research

Amanda Khoury has extensive work experience in the field of medical research. Amanda started their career as an Honours student at the Centenary Institute in 2010. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Amanda then pursued their PhD at the same institution from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, they became a Research Officer at the Garvan Institute. In 2023, Amanda joined UNSW as a Conjoint Lecturer and also became a Superstar of STEM at Science & Technology Australia, where they aim to challenge gender assumptions in STEM fields.

Amanda Khoury completed their Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree with a major in Philosophy at the University of Sydney from 2005 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor of Medical Science at the same university from 2007 to 2010.
