Keith Thornton has extensive experience in quality control and laboratory management, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. From March 2011 to June 2013 at Pfizer, Keith served as a Senior Quality Control Analyst, overseeing the analysis of raw materials and finished products, scheduling laboratory work, and leading investigations. Keith's achievements included a 99% closure rate for QC investigations and the implementation of visual management tools. Following this, Keith held roles such as QC Analyst and Operations Laboratory Manager, focusing on team development, quality compliance, and process improvement through Lean methodologies. Currently serving as the National Coordinator for Molecular Screening at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since April 2019, Keith has a strong educational background with a BSc in Analytical Science from Dublin City University and a certificate in Validation of Medicinal Products from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
