Mike Rogers

Professor

Mike Rogers graduated from the University of Sheffield, UK, with a first class honours in Biochemistry in 1989 and earned a PhD in bone pharmacology in 1994. They served as a postdoctoral fellow and later held positions at the University of Aberdeen, becoming a Professor of Musculoskeletal Pharmacology and leading a significant Musculoskeletal Research Programme. In 2012, Mike relocated to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research to establish the Bone Therapeutics Group and currently co-leads a strategic research program focused on skeletal disease. Their past research has notably advanced the understanding of bisphosphonates and made important contributions to bone cell biology and human bone diseases.
